HCI TO RETURN TO ATLANTA WITH WORKFORCE PLANNING & ANALYTICS CONFERENCE
Business alignment and emerging technology the focus of two-day event
BROOKLYN, NY – January 16, 2013 – The Human Capital Institute (HCI) will be hosting its 2013 HCI Workforce Planning & Analytics Conference at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Atlanta GA. This two-day event, taking place on February 6-7 with pre-conference workshops on February 5th, will present new trends and insights into the people and technology constituting today’s Strategic Workforce Planning landscape. HCI, the global organization global association for strategic talent management, returns to the Grand Hyatt Atlanta after last year’s successful Workforce Planning Conference at the same location.
Building on last year’s focus on the workforce plan and its implementation, this year’s event focuses on the planners themselves, and their tools, skills, and interactions with the organization at large. Whereas slow economic growth and a siphoning of talent might induce caution in other departments, workforce planners must attack the challenge head-on, grappling with talent shortages, low engagement, and inadequate technology. Alignment with an organization’s business strategy is an often-difficult, but essential goal for talent managers.
This year’s conference seeks to provide solutions in three major parts: Gaining Buy-in, which takes a look at aligning business and financial strategies; Talent Management and Upscaling, which focuses on role segmentation, identifying top performers, acquisition in workforce planning, and HR analytical skills; and Data, Analytics & Technology, regarding actionable data, data convergence and consolidation, and automating the talent lifecycle. Taking a deep dive into each of these three subjects, the 2013 HCI Workforce Planning & Analytics Conference hopes to provide attendees with take-away strategies to be implemented in their own organizations, as well as a new network of like-minded talent professionals to interact with and learn from.
