Human Capital Institute (HCI) & Vistage International Present New Research on Driving Performance with Collaborative Executive Development through an HCI Webcast Airing January 18, 2012
Washington, DC – January 3, 2012 – The Human Capital Institute (HCI), the global association for strategic talent management, announced today the airing of a webcast to present findings of signature research on the use of executive development programs in organizations today. The findings were originally revealed as part of the sold-out 2011 Learning & Leadership Development conference. The research was developed in partnership with Vistage International Inc. (Vistage), and will be shared through an HCI webcast January 18, 2012 at 3:00 pm EST.
HCI and Vistage partnered to determine what differentiates organizations that excel at improving executive development and leadership. A survey was developed and distributed to learn more and in addition, primary and secondary research methods were employed. Key takeaways from this webcast and research include discovering what types of development activities and methods are most effective for leaders and learning what differentiates organizations that excel at improving executive development and leadership.
As organizations have changed in the past decade, so too has the leadership environment. This research profiles the current state of executive development and the impact effective executive development has on an organization. Common barriers to effective implementation of executive development are provided in the findings as well. Among the data gleaned is that fewer than half of organizations are satisfied with their current executive performance, prompting a reassessment of executive development programs and platforms.
