HCI Masters Workgroups

Tap Into Your Peers

At the heart of the Masters Workgroup experience is the workgroup meeting itself. Held every three weeks in small groups in a comfortable, colleagial environment.  each half-day workgroup meeting is professionally facilitated by HCI faculty and the agenda is entirely member driven. In each meeting, members:

  • Present ideas for practicums that they are considering
  • Get feedback on those ideas from the group
  • Share progress on their work project with the group to get ideas and solutions into problems and challenges and how to overcome them
  • Present final results of their practicum along with lessons learned and advice for the group

A Private Social Network

In addition to live meetings, members gain access to private social networks on LinkedIn. Administered by HCI, workgroup members enjoy year-round access to each other, HCI staff, and invited guests on a wide range of ideas in human capital.

At Your Service

Every workgroup member is assigned a HCI staff member who onboards them and introduces them to all online resources, their peer group members, and their faculty advisor. Moreover, HCI's Member Services team is always available to answer questions, facilitate introductions, and locate HCI resources that would assist in the construction and pursuit of each member’s goals.

“My group has saved me a ton of time. My practicum is big and complex and to just have a group to bounce things off of has been invaluable.”
—Senior Director, HCI Exec Group Member Since 2011

“I find it valuable to just know what other folks are doing and how they’re doing it. Most meetings I pick up at least one tidbit to try in my own company.”
—VP, HCI Exec Group Member Since 2012

“The ability to participate in focused sessions that translate the lessons learned in the course has been huge for me and I really like the ability to come to as many meetings as I want, even if I'm not due to present something.
—Director, HCI Exec Group Member Since 2011
