Daniel John Roddy is the Human Capital Management (HCM) leader for the IBM Institute of Business Value, and is based in Hong Kong.Daniel's primary focus is to provide senior business executives with strategic insights on today's most pressing HR/workforce issues and promising opportunities. This involves delivering HCM research and analysis, subject matter expertise and intriguing ideas that fuel an ongoing dialogue with both global and local relevance.Daniel joined IBM Global Business Services in 2002 as part of the IBM merger with PWCC. He brings a wealth of experience in large-scale global HR transformation and workforce and talent initiatives both in North America and across Asia Pacific. Over the past 10 years, he has built successful human capital management consulting practices in both Southeast Asia (based in Kuala Lumpur) and Greater China (based in Hong Kong and Shanghai).Daniel began his career in human capital management with PriceWaterhouse in Washington D.C. After leading a successful HRMS implementation for PepsiCo's Taco Bell division, Daniel joined the quick service chain as Director of Applications and over the next six years worked his way up to the VP/CIO position. Moving to a venture capital firm at the beginning of the Internet boom, Daniel managed technology investments in Singapore, Sydney, and Bangalore before finally re-joining PWC in Hong Kong as the East Asia HCM leader.Originally from Chicago, Daniel graduated from The University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Education. He and his wife Connie split their time between Hong Kong and Southern California where they have three older children and one granddaughter.
