Shanil Kaderali is currently, Senior Leader for Talent Programs at WellPoint Inc where he has been in the role for 5 years. His scope includes Talent Sourcing, Recruitment Strategy, Diversity Recruitment & Vendor Management (RPO & Recruitment Vendors). His focus is on Strategic talent sourcing for leadership and all critical positions. WellPoint is a Fortune 33 firm with over 40,000 employees. 11% of the US population is served under a WellPoint health plan.
He has been the Director of Staffing Operations at Symantec, as well as managed all Global Talent Sourcing for Cisco Systems during its boom years. He was also, one of the original trainers for AIRS during its inception. He has over 15 years experience in Health Care & Technology Recruitment. Prior to working in HR, Shanil was a co-founder of an interactive training company in Toronto, Ontario which franchised to 15 locations and grew to 800 employees where he became the VP of Human Resources. He is a strategic thinker and been a visionary in sourcing and recruitment strategy and technology.
He attended Queen's University attaining a Bachelors in Commerce and attended the General Management Program at UCLA. He loves traveling with his wife and they live in Los Angeles, CA. After many years of being a US resident, he became a US citizen in March of 2011. He supports multiple organizations aimed at supporting the hiring needs of the disabled and attends various charity events that focus on Education.
