The Human Capital Institute is growing their Problem-Solving Networks for Senior Executives in eight cities across the U.S.
HCI’s Executive Workgroups are exclusive peer-to-peer networks for human capital and talent management executives. Members share their knowledge, experience and insight, and focus together to solve their most difficult challenges. Each workgroup meets four times a year in local sessions, and twice a year virtually with groups in other major metros across the U.S. They are supported by an HCI facilitator, a dedicated portal with proprietary content, and private social networking tools.
Share Solutions, Benchmark Performance
Workgroup members share solutions to common business problems in a safe and confidential environment. Peer-to-peer collaboration is a powerful way to benchmark performance, and to access practical, unvarnished advice from colleagues who have faced and solved similar problems. Workgroups enable you to:
- Learn quickly, within a private community of progressive, knowledgeable peers
- Tap into a collective pool of real-world, real-time answers
- Connect with colleagues, and form new working relationships
- Share insights, new ideas, tools and next practices
- Make better decisions, implement faster and more effectively
- Apply peer-to-peer methodology to solving difficult challenges

Defining 21st Century Talent Management
Strategic Talent Management is the most powerful lever for competition in the global economy. Organizations worldwide are racing to create, adopt and integrate talent practices that will unleash innovation, scale productivity and drive financial results.
But there is no textbook for the dramatic, rapid changes across the traditional disciplines of recruitment, human resources, organizational development, corporate learning and leadership.
Just as business pioneers like Max Weber, Frederick Taylor and Alfred Sloan invented the business practices that defined the industrial age, forward-thinking human capital professionals are defining the global talent economy.
In this new territory, progress is best achieved through shared experiences and continually learning, alongside progressive peers on the frontlines of their own organizations.
Solving Critical Challenges
HCI's Executive Workgroups are designed to help you implement real-time, real-world solutions to the most critical business problems facing human capital leaders today, including:
- Strategic workforce planning
- Sourcing, hiring and leading the best global workforce
- Re-inventing 20th century organizational and management practices
- Engaging and retaining high-performers and high-potentials
- Integrating talent practices and systems that drive productivity
- Succession and continuity of knowledge amid generational turnover
These are some of the most important strategic issues in the new economy. HCI Workgroups offer the reliable schedule, common methodology and progressive ideas that enable constant, steady progress against these year-round challenges.
Creating a Community of Excellence
Each workgroup represents a progressive community of human capital professionals, who are committed to personal and professional excellence. As each workgroup grows, so does the individual members’ access to varied intellectual capital, a rich reservoir of experience, and strong relationships. Metcalf’s Law defines the value of a network as the square of the number of connected users, and HCI's mission is to drive unique and proprietary value, as the circle grows.
