The current competitive and economic environment is a challenge that the majority of our leaders have been grappling with. IBM launched the 2010 IBM Global CEO Study: How Has the Nature of Leadership Changed? and is ready to reveal the findings. This survey aimed to discover how leaders are responding to an environment that is unlike anything that has come before. IBM conducted face-to-face interviews with more than 1500 chief executive officers, general managers and senior public sector leaders around the world to offer valuable insight into the agendas and actions of global leaders. This survey was the largest known study of its kind, tapping into the insite of CEOs in 60 countries, representing 33 industries. They shared their discoveries of both the benefits and the drawbacks of a turbulent marketplace.
In an uncertain and volatile world, CEOs realize that creativity trumps other leadership characteristics. What implications does this have for strategic talent management professionals, charged with planning the acquisition, retention, engagement and development of the workforce? Join Daniel John Roddy, HCM Leader, IBM Institute for Business Value and the Human Capital Institute for an in depth discussion on how leading CEOs are creating a culture of creative leaders.
