Presenters

Robert Rupar is a Senior Managing Consultant in the Human Capital Management space with IBM Global Business Services. Bob's experience spans more than 25 years as a practitioner and consultant in the design, development and implementation of human resources data warehouses, enterprise-wide resource planning (ERP) and HR software. Bob is considered a human capital expert in the marketplace. He is a long-time member of IHRIM and an active speaker in the human capital arena. In addition, he has authored several articles on HR information technology
and data warehousing that have been featured in publications including the IHRIM Journal, HRPC, and Computer World. Bob has worked closely with numerous global and emerging companies to plan, design and implement their human resources data warehouses, and use business and employee information to achieve strategic goals. In addition, he has conducted seminars and worked with clients throughout the world, including U.S., Europe, Asia, Australia and Canada. Bob has a Bachelor of Science degree in Manpower Management and Labor Relations from the University of Connecticut and holds a Masters of Science in Human Resource Development and Counselling from the University of Bridgeport, in Connecticut.

Aleksandra (Saska) Mojsiloviæ manages the Probabilistic Analysis and Optimization group, a part of the Business Analytics and Mathematical Science Department at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, New York. The mission of the Probabilistic Analysis and Optimization group is to conduct leading-edge research in probability theory, applied mathematics, statistical modeling/inference, and machine learning, and to apply its expertise to solve challenging problems in business analytics and decision support, for IBM and its clients. The primary focus of the group is in the areas of project/portfolio management, demand forecasting, capacity planning, workforce planning and optimization, strategic planning, skill analytics and labor standards, sales analytics, and market intelligence. Aleksandra received her PhD in Electrical Engineering in 1997 and since then has worked at Bell Laboratories (1998-2000) and IBM Research (2000-present). Her main research interests include multidimensional signal processing, pattern recognition and mathematical modelling. Aleksandra is the author of over 50 peer reviewed publications, books and book chapters, and holds eleven patents. She received the Young Author Best Paper Award from the IEEE Signal Processing Society in 2001, and European Conference on Computer Vision Best Paper Award in 2002. She also received several IBM awards, including the 2004 IBM Market Intelligence Leadership Integration Award for her work on strategic outsourcing and the 2007 Outstanding Technical Achievement Award for her work on workforce planning. Aleksandra currently serves as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Signal Processing Magazine and for the IEEE Signal Processing Letters.
