Philip A. Newbold, FACHE, is president and CEO of Memorial Hospital and Health System in South Bend, Indiana. He has been serving the system in this capacity since he was recruited in 1987. Memorial's commitment to enhancing community health through strategic partnerships led to its receipt in 2001 of the American Hospital Association's Foster G. McGaw Prize for Excellence in Community Service. Previously, Mr. Newbold has served in several capacities in St. Luke's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, including working in professional services, corporate planning and development, and marketing and strategic planning.
