Presenters

Deon MacMillan is vice president of Human Resources for the Customer Sales & Experience organization within Thomson Reuters Legal business. In this role, MacMillan leads the human resources team to ensure the organizational model and resources align with overall business objectives and the long-term strategic vision. She has held roles at Thomson Reuters as vice president of human resources, supporting Business of Law and office of the chief operating officer. MacMillan joined Thomson Reuters in 2010 to support the U.S. Law Firms technology organization.
Prior to Thomson Reuters, MacMillan worked in key human resources leadership positions for several large global businesses, including Cargill Incorporated. At Cargill, she worked as the business unit human resources leader for Cargill AgHorizons U.S. where she managed and developed people strategies to help drive strong growth. She also worked as the global human resources leader for IT services where she led the largest data center consolidation to a managed service model. Prior to Cargill, MacMillan has held positions at United Health Group in the Ingenix organization and Flint Hills Resources in Alaska.
MacMillan is a certified senior professional in human resources (SPHR). She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration and Master of Business Administration from the University of Alaska in Fairbanks.
