Webcast:
HR leaders who are tasked with transforming the organization through workforce planning require a certain amount of entrepreneurship. Challenges include gaining buy-in from the rest of the organization and convincing business partners to share a single vision of where the business is and needs to be and making the vision a reality. Coupled with obstacles such as lack of budget, technology, team and support - starting workforce planning can seem impossible. A true entrepreneur has the ability to think outside the box and get the "yes" when all they hear is "no". The founder of three multimillion-dollar companies, Mike Michalowicz knows what it really takes to spin a great idea into reality using loyalty, trust, reciprocity and motivation. Mike will share how to be resourceful with what the business already has and outline a plan for success.

Mike Michalowicz started his first business at the age of 24, moving his young
family to the only safe place he could afford – a retirement village. With no experience, no
contacts and no savings he systematically bootstrapped a multi-million dollar business. Then
he did it again. And again.
His experience building three multi-million dollar companies fostered a philosophy rarely
taught to entrepreneurs: the lack of money, experience and resources is, in fact, your greatest
asset. Because, all these “limitations” bring about the key ingredient to entrepreneurial
success: innovation.
Mike is the president of a behavioral e-marketing firm, Obsidian Launch; is the small business
columnist for The Wall Street Journal; is the “business makeover” specialist on MSNBNC; and
is the author of cult classic book, The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur. He is currently writing his
second book, to be released in 2012 by Portfolio, an imprint of the Penguin Group.
