With the global economy showing signs of life again, organizations face the challenge of how to act in an uncertain environment. In particular, talent acquisition leaders must rise to the occasion and be ready to supply their organizations with the talent they need to execute on key goals in the New Year. Part of this challenge will be moving beyond the reactive, transactional model of the 20th Century recruiting function and into a model that is operationally excellent and able to provide strategic insight to business leaders as they design the business strategy.
In order to understand the challenges and priorities of talent acquisition leaders in 2011, HCI and Ultimate Software conducted a survey of over 300 respondents in January of 2011 and the results were startling. When it comes to core competencies for recruiting such as ensuring quality of hire, sourcing talent for critical positions, and understanding the supply of talent available for these critical roles many organizations are producing mediocre or lackluster results. However, there are some organizations that are performing at a higher level than their peers in a number of areas. This session will address what these organizations are doing differently and how it applies to all talent acquisition leaders.
