Fox Entertainment Group - home to 20th Century Fox Film Studio, MySpace, Fox Broadcasting and more - has successfully met this challenge head on. Fox is an exciting place to work. But for new-hires, paper-based, manual onboarding was not an exciting process.
In order to effectively engage and retain employees in their competitive marketplace, Fox focused on transforming the new-hire experience to reflect its entertaining and dynamic environment.
As part of this transformation, Fox's various HR stakeholders leveraged the expertise of its Shared Services organization to deploy a web-based onboarding platform to meet the diverse needs of its eight business units. Barbara Levin has more than 20 years experience in marketing executive roles with leading HCM software vendors and service organizations. She is a frequent author and speaker in the HCM industry - addressing how organizations strategically leverage emerging HR technologies to meet business initiatives and goals. Levin been very active in the Shared Services community. She was invited to Chair the 2008 HR Shared Services Week Forum and will also Chair the 2009 event.

Cindy McKenzie is Senior Vice President, Information Technology at Fox Entertainment Group. She supports Enterprise Applications Services which provides enterprise and corporate applications, project office and strategy and planning for Fox Entertainment Group companies. Prior to joining Fox, Cindy was Vice President of Information Systems at Sony Pictures Entertainment where she was responsible for IT support of global Motion Picture and TV Production, Studio Operations and Digital Studio. Cindy has over 25 years experience in Information Technology in the banking and entertainment industries. She has a B.S in Economics from California State University, Long Beach.
