When you invest in the best talent, it can make a significant difference to your organizational success. But how should you measure the impact of new talent – and just as crucially, when should you measure it?
These were the questions underpinning the inaugural “Futurestep Global Talent Impact Study 2012: Understanding the Race for Impact”. We surveyed almost 1,600 HR professionals across five continents to examine their views on the impact of professional and managerial talent. The findings revealed that more than one third of HR professionals admit to measuring the impact of talent before individuals have the opportunity to deliver their greatest impact on the business. This approach places significant pressure on candidates to perform from day one and potentially overlooks the long term business value an employee can deliver.
In this webinar, Bill Sebra, President of Futurestep North America, and George Hallenbeck, Vice President of Intellectual Property Development for Korn/Ferry, will discuss and debate the issues surrounding how and when to measure talent with impact as well as reviewing key findings from the survey, including the following:
• New staff are under increasing pressure to make the greatest impact in their first year
• Performance is the number one measure of recruitment success
• Employers value high quality decision making from new recruits above all other competencies
• Candidates who display good relationships with bosses and peers and bring creativity to the business will sustain their impact over the longer term
We invite you to register for this webinar to get unique insights into the survey and to join the debate around the issues it has raised.
