Jeff Labrador and Hailey Herleman will discuss the three main drivers of turnover from Kenexa’s research: engagement, manager effectiveness, and employee misfit. Client stories of initiatives to reduce turnover in line with these drivers will be shared and ideas for the audience on ways to potentially reduce excessive employee turnover will be offered. Presenters

Jeff Labrador, Ph.D. – is a research consultant for the global assessment team at Kenexa. Dr. Labrador has designed, validated, and implemented employee assessments systems for managerial positions and hourly positions across a variety of industries. He is involved in a wide range of projects such as job analysis, competency modeling, test development and validation, and structured interview development. Dr. Labrador received his Ph.D. and Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Diego State University. He is a member of the American Psychological Association and Society of Industrial Organizational Psychology. His research interests include employee selection, psychological measurement, performance appraisal, job analysis, and personality assessment.

Hailey Herleman is a Consultant for the Global Consultant team at Kenexa. She is involved with projects such as custom selection system design and validation, leadership assessment, and ROI follow-up on selection systems. Dr. Herleman has worked with customers in both the public and private sectors on projects ranging from program evaluation design to content validation and design of high stakes, nationally administered tests. She has published and presented work on topics such as work analysis, expatriate adjustment, work motivation, engagement, and various quantitative analysis techniques. Dr. Herleman’s primary area of interest is global assessment and international human resources consulting. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Clemson University.
