Webcast:
In the current age, talent is king. Organizations are waking up to the fact that it is crucial for them to hone their ability to strategically and efficiently source, safely engage and re-engage top Independent Contractor (IC) and Consultant talent. However, most organizations avoid applying their proven talent management practices to this talent pool for fear of co-employment, misclassification and even class-action law suits. However, Whirlpool has managed to use cutting edge solutions to not only minimize the risks their Independent Contractors pose, but to integrate them into their talent pipeline and use that information to utilize this non-traditional form of talent in alignment with business objectives.
Some of these ICs will be hired on full-time while others will remain independent partners with Whirlpool. Brian Schubmehl, Director of Talent Acquisition at Whirlpool explains how his organization is now able to source the right people for the right jobs at the right time whether they are traditional full-time employees or independent contractors.
