Presenters

MARK R. FREDERICK, PH.D., Director, Global Performance Solutions, and a member of IOR's Strategic Management Team, Mark worked extensively with business executives and corporate teams to improve business results in the global marketplace. During his ten-year affiliation with IOR, Mark has designed and facilitated training and performance improvement programs for multinational corporations throughout the world. Mark also works closely with companies that are expanding their international operations and forming strategic global partnerships. Mark has a strong bicultural background, having lived and worked in Germany throughout his life. Prior to his corporate experience, he has instructed university students in German language and culture at the University of Washington in Seattle. He has also tutored non-native speakers of English for the Lake County, Illinois Literacy Program. Mark earned bachelor degrees in Philosophy and German Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign and a master's degree in German Cultural Studies from the University of Washington. Mark's doctoral degree is in Comparative Literature at the University of California, Riverside. He is fluent in German, proficient in French, Spanish and Dutch, and has studied Danish and Japanese.
