Lisa Sherr, Director of Branding, Communications and Metrics at ADP shares that every hire that ADP makes is made with diversity in mind. The strategy around diversity and recruiting is two-fold. The first is to gain a diverse slate of candidate to add diversity to the company, which is accomplished by pinpointing diverse colleges, organizations, and conferences. Then ADP approaches the best candidates with the hope that some of those candidates are diverse. In the end, the best diverse talent pool is brought on at ADP.
One of the ways ADP retains their diverse talent is by creating socio-resource groups and affinity groups. These groups allow space for discussion and open dialogue regarding diversity interests and issues, inside and outside of the company.
