Brian consults with outside directors and senior management on all aspects of executive pay, including issues such as competitive measurement of compensation, design of stock programs and cash-based incentives, and compensation programs in corporate transactions (including change-in-control arrangements, executive contract design, and severance policies). He works with public and private organizations across multiple industries, including energy, financial services, medical technology, and retail.Brian's expertise focuses on executive compensation analysis, stock-based incentive plan design, corporate governance and executive severance arrangements. Over the course of this career, he has assisted numerous clients in developing executive compensation philosophies and the related programs to deliver shareholder focused compensation opportunities to executives.Brian is a frequent speaker on executive compensation issues and has spoken at events sponsored by the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals, WorldatWork, the Certified Equity Professional Institute, and E*Trade. Prior to joining Hay Group, Brian was a tax manager with BDO Seidman LLP. He also worked in Ernst & Young, LLP's tax department.Brian received his Masters of Science in Taxation from DePaul University. He received his Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame, where he majored in Accounting and English. Brian is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
