Employee referrals are an excellent source for recruiting top talent. What organization wouldn’t love to double or triple the number hires secured through this avenue? Increasing referrals, and ultimately hires, or improving the quality of either, though, isn’t a matter of increasing the payout. In fact, paying more money probably won’t result in more or better referrals.
What will? A mobilized, empowered, engaged employee population, armed with the right tools, scouts the best and brightest from networking events, LinkedIn contacts, even rolodexes. The tools are key: technology, messaging, personalization all top the list of innovative and fresh ways to position referring job candidates as a ‘must do.’
