Traditional assessments used by HR executives are typically developed by academics who may spend years designing, testing and validating psychometric and skills-based evaluation tools. These tests are expensive to administer and don't keep pace with the changing needs of today's workplace. High volume, low-cost assessments will herald a new age of candidate matchmaking. The new recruiting mantra will be: Attract fewer applicants.
