Andrew Pateman

Vice President, Talent Management & Corporate Strategy, Canadian Blood Services

Andrew is responsible for providing leadership, guidance and direction for Canadian Blood Services' Talent Management division, as well as helping to shape the direction and execution of the organization's strategy through his leadership of the corporate strategy function. He brings more than 21 years of experience, in both the public and private sector, to Canadian Blood Services. For the past decade, Andrew has devoted his energy to helping organizations develop and implement strategy execution programs in both private and public sector organizations.
In his career, Andrew has helped formulate, measure and manage the strategies of organizations across a wide spectrum of industries, including pharmaceuticals, financial, healthcare, publishing, education, utility, information, petrochemical and the public sectors.
Andrew is also a frequent writer and speaker on issues relating to the management and execution of strategy and has published several articles on measure selection, organizational alignment and change management. He is an alumnus of the University of Western Ontario, where he received his B.A. and M.A. in Canadian History and Queen's University, where he received his Master of Public Administration. He is also on the Advisory Board of the Centre for American Studies at the University of Western Ontario.
