Diane Fanelli is senior vice president of the Global Presales & Solutions organization. In this role, Diane leads the teams responsible for showcasing SAP’s innovations in the early stages of an account engagement. The Global Presales & Solutions teams creatively apply SAP’s solutions, concepts that often serve as the catalyst for new business models within a customer’s organization. Presales & Solutions teams help to streamline the flow of innovation from SAP development to its sales teams and direct to customers.
Diane is currently the co-executive sponsor of the SAP Veteran’s to work program. The Veterans to work program was established to alleviate the shortage of highly skilled talent in the technology industry, SAP launched Veterans to Work, an employment program to train and certify American veterans on SAP database and technology, analytics and mobility solutions. Though this program, SAP will provide 1,000 veterans full scholarships to help them launch promising information technology careers while allowing SAP and its partner ecosystem to enhance its own technology workforce. SAP plans to certify 21000 Veterans over the next 4 years.
Before assuming her current role in July of 2012, Diane served as the chief operations officer for the Database & Technology organization. As a new organization, Diane was instrumental in constructing the business framework, integrating Sybase colleagues and solutions as well as operationalizing all resources to ensure an effective and profitable go-to-market model.
Prior to assuming global responsibilities, Diane Fanelli was regional vice president of Industries for SAP North America. There she was responsible for devising the vertical go-to-market strategy and implementing the strategy across sectors to ensure SAP built on its leadership in mature industries and expanded in strategic growth, industries and segments. Diane and her team were actively involved in the Global Industry Leadership Councils where customers collaborate with SAP on mid- and long-term strategy within each industry. Previously, Diane held a similar role for SAP Asia, responsible for both Industry and Solutions. While based in Singapore, her success stemmed from her keen ability to understand the cultural, ethnic and economic diversity across the Asia, Pacific Japan region.
Diane joined SAP in March 1994. She has nearly 20 years of IT experience with a diverse background in Consulting, Project Management, Consulting Management, Pre-sales and Pre-sales management, and Industry Market Development in North America and Asia Pacific Japan. Diane has extensive knowledge of SAP Applications and Technology.
Prior to joining SAP, Diane held financial and operational management roles at Pincus Bros Inc. and Laventhol & Horwath. In those roles, she was a licensed CPA working with international and domestic corporations.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University.
