Gwen Reid is currently HR Lead, Workforce Planning & Practices at Cenovus Energy Inc. Gwen is responsible for workforce analytics and reporting, strategic workforce planning and human resources policies and practices. In this capacity she is a key contributor to all activities related to workforce planning - positioning the Cenovus workforce to align to the business strategy. Gwen led the project team to develop the workforce planning methodology and create the supporting workforce modeling and reporting used for Cenovus’s 10 year strategic long-range business plan.
Gwen has held a variety of human resources and marketing positions over 15 years with Cenovus Energy Inc. and its predecessor companies. Her previous work experience includes research and analysis, workforce simplification and procedure documentation and office management in the private sector and government.
Gwen obtained an Honours Science degree (Biology and Math) from the University of Guelph and holds the Certified Human Resources Professional designation from the Human Resources Institute of Alberta.
