In this global role, Joel leads Arrow’s Global Talent Management and Development function in three critical areas: Processes, Programs, and Platforms. His focus is on building world-class talent while creating holistic development roadmaps for all employees across the organization and delivering them through a robust infrastructure. This includes the full employee lifecycle from on-boarding new hires, pipelining future leaders, and focused development of the senior leadership team.
Joel has held roles as President of the Professional Society for Sales and Marketing Training (SMT) and Vice President of Programming for ASTD-LI, and has served on the board of both organizations. Joel was a 2008 recipient of Training Magazine’s “Top 40 under 40” award and has been featured in numerous articles and publications for his work in developing blended learning solutions.
Joel is an industry thought leader and has been a featured speaker at numerous CLO and Talent Management conferences covering a range of topics including blended-learning, LMS best practices, and engaging generation X&Y through the integration of videogame technology in blended learning. He holds a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from Dowling College and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Relations from St. Josephs College.
