Karen Stevens is responsible for the long term vision and driving continuous development in all of RiseSmart’s practice areas including career transition, career management and human capital management. Karen heads up the RiseSmart team that created RiseSmart’s acclaimed career transition methodology.
Prior to her current role, Karen led the Client Services team that works with RiseSmart’s diverse portfolio of corporate customers. Karen has successfully designed and delivered outplacement programs for Fortune 500 companies in the US and abroad, and has extensive experience working with organizations on their downsizing processes.
Before joining RiseSmart in 2008, Karen spent 11 years in talent acquisition management both managing recruiting functions and employer branding at several bay area startups. She has extensive experience in executive coaching and the application of psychology.
Karen has a bachelor of arts and a masters degree in psychology from Notre Dame de Namur University where she was a member of the Alumni Board of Directors for nine years. She is SPHR certified as well as a certified Human Capital Strategist.
