Laurie joined Grant Thornton International in 2007 to lead the design, development and integration of a global people and culture strategy. She has 30 years of experience leading rapid growth and change in the Fortune 1000 marketplace. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, she had her own consulting firm which specialized in cultural transformation through talent selection, strategic performance management and effective change management. Her clients included Citibank, Honeywell and Pitney Bowes. She has a strong record of success on behalf of her former employer (Cartus Relocation) that includes earning the prestigious Connecticut Quality Award and recognition for employing ‘Leading Edge Practices’ by the American Society for Quality. Laurie’s work on strategic performance management has been published by this same organisation. Before moving into HR consulting in 1998, Laurie was VP of Organisational Effectiveness for Cendant Mobility (now Cartus) and a senior HR corporate executive for R H Macy and Company in the United States, overseeing the transition to a service culture and the HR management of 4000 employees throughout northeastern US stores.
Laurie lives in Miami, FL and loves all that it has to offer. She travels extensively in her current role with Grant Thornton and in her spare time enjoys ballroom dancing and yoga. Laurie has two children, Meredith and Scott. Meredith is an attorney living in Berlin, Germany. Her son Scott is now an attorney based in St. Louis, Missouri.
