Global Contingent Workforce Program Manager, Symantec

 
Maria Jimenez serves as the global contingent workforce program manager for Symantec Corporation, the world leader in information security, storage and backup solutions. In her current role, Maria oversees and manages the policies,  processes and procedures for contingent workforce hiring around the globe.
 
Maria’s latest endeavor is to expand Symantec’s successful U.S. based managed-service provider (MSP) and vendor management system (VMS) programs to other global regions for consistent onboarding, data and document management. She is also tasked with driving and managing risk management issues as they relate to contingent workforce hiring. Maria interfaces with legal, procurement and risk on developing and refining compliant solutions that will minimize employer exposure. She is also examining the risk tolerance and labor regulations in other countries to respond to the growing contingent hiring demand.  
 
Maria has over 20 years of experience in HR, staffing and VMS/MSP program management. Maria began her career as an accountant and after seven years decided to steer toward the staffing industry. She then headed for corporate recruitment for Sun Microsystems and also supported several other companies with her Human Resources experience. She celebrated eight years with Symantec in September of this year.
