Mark Smith

Manager, Sourcing & Procurement at The Walt Disney Company

With over thirty years with Disney, Mark Smith is currently a Manager with the Sourcing and Procurement division supporting Disney Theme Parks and Resorts worldwide.
He began working for Disney part-time while pursuing his undergraduate degree.  Following graduation, he worked briefly for the Dayco Corporation in Ocala, Florida before returning to Disney as an Industrial Engineer with WED Enterprises, now Walt Disney Imagineering.
Over the years, Mark has supported a variety of operational areas including Food & Beverage, Distribution, Traffic and Purchasing; primarily involving ERP system implementation, sustainment and related assignments.  He is currently spearheading the rollout of a contingent workforce management system throughout Disney Theme Parks and Resorts.
Mark is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology and received Master of Business Administration and Master of Science degrees from the Florida Institute of Technology.  His professional certifications include senior member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers, Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.), Certified Professional in Supply Management (C.P.S.M.) and the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply Certification (C.I.P.S.).
A New York native, Mark and his wife, Bobbie, reside in Winter Park, Florida with their Boxer Beau and Jack Russell Terrier Toby, both rescues.  Mark and Bobbie are active in community service work with the Disney VoluntEARS program.  Mark’s other interests are reading and wood turning.  He is also a runner and recently completed his 20th (of 20) Disney marathons - one of 95 to claim that distinction.
