Sara is a senior member of the Global Human Resources Reporting & Analytics team at State Street Corporation, one of the world's leading providers of financial services to institutional investors, with US$27.4 trillion in assets under custody and administration, and US$2.3 trillion in assets under management as of December 31, 2013.
Since joining State Street in late 2012, Sara has been innovating executive-level workforce analytics and providing consulting support for business and HR leaders to increase the use of workforce data… and has been on a quest to formalize strategic workforce planning practices. She also supports a variety of key working groups, is an active member of the Professional Women’s Network, and co-launched the Health and Fitness community on the new social online platform.
Prior to State Street, Sara led a variety of workforce planning initiatives at Fidelity Investments; managed complex consulting engagements to improve patient outcomes for the National Health Service (NHS) in London, United Kingdom; and implemented strategic workforce planning practices and supporting SAAS technology in large organization across many industries in Australia during her time at The Inform Group (now part of SuccesssFactors, an SAP Company).
Her earlier career, which started unceremoniously at age 12 in her father’s convenience store for 50c/hour and wove through the fast-paced environments of retail, fashion and hospitality management, left her curious as to why businesses didn’t think more strategically about their “most valuable asset”. As such, Sara became interested in exploring the intersection between business, workforce and technology strategies, and working with organizations to better plan for, acquire, develop, reward, and retain the talent they need to execute on business strategy in an increasingly competitive, global and networked environment.
Sara is completing her Master of Business Administration degree at Babson College and received her Bachelor of Business from Queensland University of Technology, Australia. She is currently based in Boston, MA and is an avid yogi, accident-prone snow sport addict, social media junkie who swears by green smoothies, juice feasting and a whole food plant-based lifestyle.
