Tim is Director of Knowledge Management (KM) for The Boeing Company where he is responsible for the design and implementation of an enterprise-wide knowledge management and collaboration system. The role resides in the Engineering, Operations, and Technology unit, and requires partnering with leaders from all businesses and functions. The system includes culture drivers, enabling policy, IT infrastructure, and KM processes and tools. The system is geared toward enhancing business by connecting people, leveraging knowledge as “one Boeing”, and preserving key knowledge.
Tim brings 24 years of Boeing experience to this position. Previous responsibilities include technical and managerial roles spanning the C-17 Globemaster, Delta Rocket, Global Positioning System Satellite, International Space Station, and Corporate projects. Tim has organized and led program teams that provided solutions in systems engineering, electrical design, cryogenic and structural dynamics, fabrication, assembly, and test. Corporate projects involved solving of business issues spanning Engineering, Operations, Finance, Human Resources, and other functions in the Commercial and Defense parts of Boeing
Tim received an “Engineer of the Year” award for advanced USAF satellite work, and holds an MS in Systems Architecture and Engineering from USC, and a BSEE from California State University, Fullerton. Tim also holds one patent and has published two professional papers.
