The past twelve months has taken a huge toll on employees and employers. The pandemic has put more hours into the working day, creating exhaustion and burnout and simultaneously exposing the stress that many workers face in balancing professional and personal demands. Corridor chit-chat and water cooler convos have been replaced by meetings and, while the number of meetings is increasing, the time to complete tasks and do work has all but disappeared. Organizations are also being called upon to address the long-lasting effect of racial injustice in our country and the impact this has had on underrepresented employee populations. Conventional approaches to DE&I will simply not cut it. Coincidentally, during this same time period, we seen the demand for People Analytics jobs quadruple.
In this session, we will look at the underlying factors pushing the People Analytics function from the shadows and to being a “must have” rather than a “nice-to-have”. We will also discuss how people analytics has helped organizations not only react to the impact of the events of the past year but be better positioned to re-engage and re-imagine the workplace of the future as well as be better positioned to truly focus on the employee experience.
