CINCINNATI (June 7, 2018) - Human Capital Institute (HCI), an organization committed to helping HR professionals become more strategic through professional development, announced that its most popular certification program, Strategic HR Business Partner (sHRBP), has undergone an extensive update and courses featuring the new curriculum are now open for enrollment. The program curriculum still covers the foundational elements of strategic HR, but places these elements in an updated context to reflect the changing role of strategic HR in today’s workplace.

“Just as the contemporary HR practitioner must become a business leader, so must HR strategy become business strategy,” says Chuck Feltz, CEO of HCI. “This is exactly the thinking that has driven the development of our new sHRBP certification program. Our goals have been crystal clear from the beginning—to provide HR leaders a certification program that will help them achieve their professional development goals and drive the necessary business impact their organizations demand to achieve excellence.”

The sHRBP certification program is built on HCI’s new Prepare, Partner, Perform framework. Upon completion, participants will be able to work with business partners to co-create effective talent management solutions that accelerate the business strategy. During the course, participants will learn what it means to be strategic and how to act strategically, how to develop collaborative relationships that impact business outcomes, and how to solve business issues by implementing and measuring the effectiveness of talent management initiatives.

This new course strongly emphasizes learning by doing and practicing new skills in real time to build confidence and encourage immediate practical application back on the job.  It also provides the opportunity for learners to review best practices, share experiences, and consult with the facilitator and other class members.

HCI’s sHRBP certification program is best suited for functional leaders, people leaders, and individual contributors seeking to advance their careers by elevating personal proficiencies, leading high-impact HR teams, and executing talent strategies that have a measurable impact on the business. Current HRBPs seeking recertification will also find the new sHRBP curriculum highly beneficial. The program is offered both online and in-person in major metro areas across the U.S. The course is also available through HCI’s Corporate Training program for organizations seeking to upskill entire teams on-site.
