Seeks to Redefine Engagement in Increasingly Performance-Based Business Landscape
BROOKLYN, NY – August 12, 2013 – The Human Capital Institute (HCI) will return to Chicago for its 2013 Employee Engagement Conference, taking place at the Palmer House on September 23rd – 25th. The event continues HCI’s dedication to showcasing real-world engagement paradigms through presentations from talented business leaders, and unveils a new stated goal: to redefine employee engagement for the New Business Norms.
Following last year’s sold out conference in Seattle, HCI’s Engagement community recognized a new truth: employees’ “willingness” to work no longer guarantees execution. Instead, engagement can be redefined as: the degree of an employee’s positive or negative emotional attachment to their job, colleagues, and organization that strongly influences their willingness to learn and perform at work.
