Alexander Todorov, PhD, is professor and associate chair of the department of psychology at Princeton University, an associated faculty member of the Princeton Neuroscience Institute, and an affiliated faculty member of the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. His main focus of research is on how we perceive, evaluate, and make sense of the social world. His research has been published in many journals and covered by media around the world, including the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Guardian, the Times, the New Yorker, BBC, PBS, and NPR. He is frequently called on during elections to discuss his research on how appearances impact election outcomes.
