Amaris McComas is the Sr. Director of Talent Acquisition at TIAA, a leading financial services organization. She is a strategic recruitment and sourcing leader with expertise in developing innovative and long-term strategies on a national level. Throughout her career, Amaris has played a significant role in multiple human resources technology implementations. Prior to joining TIAA, Amaris spent 3 years at Premier, Inc. a leading healthcare improvement company. She led Premier’s talent acquisition efforts including permanent, contingent, and college recruitment. She was responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and execution of Premier’s MSP (Master Service Provider) program and diversity initiatives.
Prior to Premier, Amaris spent eight years at HSBC, most recently serving as vice president of resourcing, where she managed the recruitment team’s full-cycle recruiting processes, data retrieval and analysis. She received the 2009 and 2011 Diversity Ambassador Award for increasing awareness and education in recruitment related to Affirmative Action and has served as the lead diversity liaison of resourcing for the United States.
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she spent her early years performing in over 30 stages worldwide with the San Juan Children’s Choir. With a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Emory University in Atlanta, GA., Amaris is fluent in Italian and Spanish. She currently resides in Charlotte with her family and has a strong passion for travelling the world and tasting as many different types of cuisine as she can.
