Since Kabbage's early days, Amy Zimmerman has played a critical role in building its stellar team. A former colleague of Kabbage co-founder Kathryn Petralia, Amy initially became involved by consulting for the company. With a passion for helping small technology businesses, she collaborated with the co-founders to create an exciting environment that defines Kabbage's signature culture. She believed in Kabbage so deeply that she sunset her successful consulting business to join our Kabbage team full-time as Head of Global People Operations. In the seven years prior, Amy used a fresh perspective and unique approach to guide the culture and organizational strategy for more than 20 companies. Before launching her consulting practice, Amy led HR initiatives for Visionary Systems Inc., an early FinTech company she helped build from the ground up. When the business was acquired by TransUnion, a Fortune 500 global leader in credit information services, she remained for two years to ensure the team was fully assimilated.
After graduating from the University of South Florida, Amy served as a substance abuse counselor for drug-addicted new moms and a court arbitrator for first-time juvenile offenders. Amy has seen firsthand how Kabbage opens up possibilities for small businesses. When her cousin was ready to expand the audio and automation business she and her husband ran out of their home, she came to Kabbage. With the extra funding they received, they built a showroom that has driven exponential growth. When she's not busy making Kabbage the best place to work, Amy enjoys hiking local trails with her two daughters.
