Barbara Kogen

Vice President, Organizational Development & Performance at Avis Budget Group

Barbara has been part of the Avis Budget Group team since 2002.  She joined as Director of Sales Development after spending 15 years with Omni Hotels as a regional director of sales and marketing, national director of sales and, ultimately, director of training and development. In 2004, Kogen was promoted to Vice President of Sales Development and was named to her current role in 2007.
Barbara’s team is responsible for Talent Management and Succession Planning, Service Reward and Recognition, Employee Engagement, Voice of the Employee and development of Global Programs.  Together these teams work to ensure that the Company is able to develop and promote high-performing employees, reward and recognize individuals for both hard work and tenure while creating and measuring programs that positively impact organizational culture.  The OD&P teams collaborate to support a global organization that strives for continuous improvement.
Barbara is one of the founders of Avis Budget Group’s Global Women’s Initiative, started in 2011. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida International University.  Ms. Kogen is based at Avis Budget Group’s worldwide headquarters in Parsippany, N.J.
