Gerry Crispin, sphr is an international speaker, author, and consultant whose views on employment strategy, hiring processes and staffing technology are sought by many of the world's most competitive corporations. During the last 6 months Gerry has been busy as a guest speaker in Moscow, Beijing, Sydney, Toronto, and London (UK), as well as numerous US state organizations and several national conferences.Gerry and his business partner, Mark Mehler, facilitate intense, small-group meetings (CareerXroads Colloquium) several times each year. By collaborating with leading corporate staffing strategists they hope to analyze cutting-edge employment issues, share staffing practices, and raise the bar for the recruiting function as a whole.Committed to writing, researching and sharing his adventures, opinions and data, Gerry strives to observe and influence new and evolving models that aspire to world-class, measurable standards and satisfy every stakeholder. Gerry is the co-author of eight editions of CAREERXROADS, an annual reference guide to job and resume sites, first published in 1996. He has also written more than 50 articles and whitepapers on cutting edge staffing and technology topics and publishes a newsletter tracked by 50,000 recruiters. His blog he says he writes only for himself but thousands of friends and colleagues make a point of tracking it. He is currently working on his 9th book entitled Conversations with Staffing Leaders scheduled for publication in 2008.Gerry is an active voluntary leader for the Society for Human Resource Management having served in various leadership capacities over two decades. He currently serves as a member of a special expertise panel, Technology and HR Management, that advises the Society's leadership on policies and practices related to the profession of Human Resources. Previously he served on the national board of directors of SHRM (1999) as well as the board of its EMA affiliate (the Employment Management Association). Gerry was also Chair of the Society's Employment Committee from 1996-1999. Gerry returns each month to, his alma mater, Stevens Institute of Technology's (SIT) campus to meet with alumni in transition and assist them in developing their job strategy. He has been a Trustee for SIT as well as its alumni associaiton president during the 90's.
