Jacqueline Purdy

Vice President of Talent Management, USAA

Jackie currently leads the USAA Talent and Organizational Excellence Team. The team is responsible for providing world class integrated talent solutions to empower and prepare USAA for today and tomorrow through policies and programs for Organizational Effectiveness, Enterprise Change Management, Diversity and Inclusion, Talent Delivery and Acquisition, and Talent Management. Prior to this role, she led organizations in IT supporting Member Contact Center Applications and IT Business Management.

Prior to joining USAA, Jackie spent 10 years at Bank of America in multiple leadership roles culminating in her leading the Treasury Services Technology team. This global team provided technology services for corporate and commercial customers, spanning services from corporate deposits, investments, wire, lockbox, billing, account analysis, reconcilement, and trade finance. Her previous roles included leading the Enterprise Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning and Response Team; the Banking Center Operations Systems Support Team; Change/Portfolio Management at Bank of America’s Military Bank; and Process Design Engineer.

Jackie started her professional career as an Air Force officer after graduating as a distinguished graduate from Texas A&M University’s Corps of Cadets. She served 12 years on active duty and 8 in the Air Force Reserve. She served in a variety of specialties to include UH-1N and HH-60G Helicopter Pilot, Air Traffic Controller, and Airfield Manager, as well as numerous staff positions at the Higher Headquarters level. She retired from the Air Force Reserve after 20 years of service at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. 

Jackie is a 1990 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a minor in History. She also holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix as well as a Master of Science in Military Operational Art and Science from Air University.

Jackie is married to Col Charles W. Sachs (USAF Ret).
