Jon Brooks-Fox is a Workforce Engagement Specialist in Human Resources at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC). She has been with BCBSNC since 2007 and has served in numerous roles across the company before landing her dream job in the Office of Diversity and WorkLife.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is a health solutions company whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of its customers and communities. In her current role, Jon supports this mission by providing the strategic development and promotion of effective work-life integration offerings for the internal workforce. Through effective program management, Jon is able to energize and support the diverse workforce; optimizing program utilization and ensuring BCBSNC retains top talent. Multiple times a year, Jon organizes small and large scale symposiums geared to enable leaders at all levels to successfully execute corporate strategy; providing opportunities for increased employee engagement. She also manages the enterprise-wide recognition program that aligns the company values to its culture.
These contributions were instrumental in Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina being awarded the 2014 Work-Life Seal of Distinction presented by WorldatWork’s Alliance for Work-Life Progress (AWLP).
Before joining BCBSNC, Jon honed her business management skills as an owner of a full-service consulting company in the entertainment industry in both New York and Los Angeles. Jon received a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications as well as minor in Leisure Recreation Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is conversational in multiple languages and is actively involved in mentoring in her community. She is married to her childhood sweetheart and has three children… and a cocker spaniel named Charley.
