Kamilah Thomas is Vice President, Human Resources, Corporate Resources & Global People Development, at A+E Networks, the global media company encompassing A&E®, Lifetime®, HISTORY®, FYI™, LMN®, H2®, HISTORY en Español™, Crime + Investigation™ as well as A+E Studios.
In her role, Kamilah functions as a strategic human resources leader for the corporate functions including Finance & Business Development, Legal, Production & Operations, Engineering and Technology, and Human Resources ensuring that a focus on culture and people is imparted on all teams and divisions globally.
Since joining A+E Networks in 2015, Kamilah implemented ME+, A+E Networks’ new global learning and development program aligned with new organizational vision and mission supporting staff development, engagement and accountability for performance. Thomas also led the development and launch of A+E Networks’ new performance management approach, NEXT 90. A key piece of the company’s transformation to a high-performance culture, NEXT 90 replaced the incumbent annual review and ratings system with a 90-day feedback cadence based on OKR (objective key results) methodology.
Thomas has over 20 years of extensive human resources experience leading corporate transformations through global learning and development, diversity, people management and inclusion efforts. Previously, she served as Vice President, Human Resources, Madison Square Garden Company where she led HR activities for Marketing, Ticket Sales, Corporate Sponsorships, Event Presentation and Game-Night Entertainment and Front-Office & Coaching Staff, including New York Knicks, Rangers and Liberty sport teams.
Prior to Madison Square Garden, TKamilah was Vice President, Human Resources at Sony Music Entertainment, Epic Records where she led the Human Resources efforts for re-launching the iconic record label. Leading aggressive build of the C-suite team and key creative team, Kamilah facilitated business growth and expansion of the newly reimagined label.
Kamilah holds a BA in Economics from Lincoln University. She resides in New Jersey with her husband and three children.
