Simone Aeschlimann is the Deputy Director of Human Resources at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Simone joined the ICRC in 2003 and has spent several years in humanitarian missions in the field in Africa, Asia and the Middle East before taking up a position as HR Partner at the Headquarters between 2008 and 2011. She then decide to take on a leadership position for ICRC’s operation in Indian Kashmir before transferring to Central Asia. In February 2014 she was appointed in her current position to accompany the HR Department in what is the biggest institutional transformation in the organization’s recent history.
She holds a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Corporate Social Responsibility from the University of Geneva, a Master in International Negotiations and Policy Making from the Graduate Institute Geneva, as well as a Bachelor in International Hospitality Management from the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne.
