HCI ANNOUNCES ACCENTURE AS WINNER OF INAUGURAL GLOBAL TALENT LEADER AWARD
Will Present Award at 1st Annual HCI Global Talent Management Summit
BROOKLYN, NY - July 1, 2013 - The Human Capital Institute (HCI) announced today that Accenture is the winner of their inaugural Global Talent Leader Award. Accenture will be recognized at the first annual HCI Global Talent Management Summit, taking place at the Conrad New York on July 22-23.
The Award seeks to address an inescapable business reality: globalization has become the de facto method of commerce. A mastery of culture, economies of scale, technologies and people across a multinational plane is not only optimal but necessary to continue a business' outward and upward growth. The goal of the competition is to recognize and inspire organizations around the globe that have transformed their talent management operations to be as reflective of their global business as possible. The winning submission, titled Integrated Talent Planning (ITP), was an initiative designed to:
- Help connect longer-term human capital strategies, which look three years into the future, and near-term resource and supply/demand forecasting processes, which focus on the current year
- Encourage holistic discussions of talent priorities between business leaders and HR professionals
- Enhance consistent global processes across entities, allowing teams to identify talent priorities and facilitate strategic talent investment decisions more easily
Accenture will be recognized at the HCI Global Talent Management Summit and on the HCI website as a company dedicated to global-minded business culture, and it will be awarded a complimentary HCI Enterprise Membership to further its talent transformation journey. Leaders from Accenture will be on hand to accept the award.
This competition was judged by a dynamic team of talent leaders, including Dave Cooper, VP of Global Staffing at Quintiles International; Michael Knierim, Head of Global HR, Pharma Medicines for Roche; Steven A. Miranda, Managing Director at Cornell University Center for Advanced Human Resource Studies, Cornell University School of Industrial Labor Relations; Tyler Benjamin, VP of Global Talent Management for Discovery Communications; and Dave Forman, Chief Learning Officer for HCI.
