UPDATED BIO: Carmen comes from a blue-collar family and firmly believes each of us is a leader and can excel through a growth mindset, commitment, and practice. Over the last 10+ years, she has coached, facilitated, and trained hundreds of teams, business owners, managers, directors, and senior level executives. She has done group coaching and facilitated experiential training programs. She has worked in industries that include oil and gas, utility, healthcare, finance, HR services, education, IT, sales, beverages and food services. She has a reputation for a calm, non-judgmental, championing approach that enables clients to broaden their perspective, tap into what’s true for them, and leverage their insights in a powerful way. In addition to her coaching expertise, she has over 20 years’ experience in corporate leadership positions in Customer Service, Environmental and Safety Compliance, Energy Management, Fleet Operations, and in Human Services: Leadership and Employee Development, Change Management, and Company-wide Transformation Projects. Her coaching capabilities coupled with her leadership experience and technical background enable her to bring a unique blend of business understanding, appreciation for the challenges of dynamic and complex contexts, and a genuine curiosity for what is possible to each coaching engagement or facilitation. She is passionate about helping others achieve their desired outcome in a lasting way Carmen is the program director of ICF SFBA Coaches. She holds an International Coach Federation PCC credential as well as coaching certificates in both Narrative Coaching and Neuro-Linguistic Programing. She has an MBA in Management, a Master’s of Art in Psychology-Organization Development and a Master’s of Science in Human Resources. Formally an assistant instructor in Sonoma State University’s Organization Development graduate program, she continues to be a guest instructor teaching Coaching and Conflict Resolution. 
Carmen is an avid learner, lover of water activities and world traveler. One of her favorite adventures was swimming with horses in Costa Rica.
