As part of a broad HR transformation effort, UPMC approached HCI in the spring of 2016 to discuss their need to improve the business acumen and consulting skills of their growing team of HR business partners and other HR practitioners. Through a collaborative process, we designed a fully customized 2-day Strategic HR Business Partner program that has been delivered to 9 cohorts (approximately 200 participants) throughout 2017. In 2018, UPMC continued delivering the program to at least 100 additional HR professionals.

UHG approached HCI in the summer of 2016 to discuss their need to improve the analytical capabilities their Human Capital Partners. Through a collaborative process, we designed a fully customized 2-day Data Analytics for Human Capital program in which participants use anonymized UHG employee data sets to practice new skills. The program has been delivered to 5 cohorts (approximately 110 participants) throughout 2017. In 2018, UHG intends to offer a broader set of HR learning opportunities based on HCI’s Human Capital Strategist and Strategic HR Business Partner certifications.
