Michelle Roth is currently the Deputy Chief Human Resources Officer and the interim Head of Talent Management at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) where she leads Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, and the HRBP teams, a position she has held since 2016. In this role she has focused on developing and leading initiatives in the areas of inclusion, succession planning, management development and recruitment of the next generation of STEM talent. Prior to joining JPL, Michelle held roles at Amgen, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Bank of America and Deloitte Consulting navigating a career and roles that ranged from coding to project management to Human Resources. Michelle’s passion and focus over the last decade has been working with STEM talent and understanding how innovation occurs within an organization. Her varied experiences in both roles and industries allow her to develop holistic human capital solutions, ensuring every discipline in the organization is engaged and involved.
