Dawn has spent over 30 years in Human Resources (20 in hospitality) with an emphasis in employee relations and leadership development. For the last 10 years she has taught in the HR Certificate Program at SDSU Global Campus. Most recently, she started her own business providing HR consulting, leadership training and coaching, as well as public speaking.
Her mission is advocating for mental health and fostering a workplace culture that embraces open dialogue and support. And to shed light on the importance of mental well-being, breaking down stigmas, and encouraging organizations to prioritize the holistic growth and development of their employees. Her zone of genius is in employee relations and leadership development where she teaches the method she created - CYA Squared™.
What sets Dawn apart is her willingness to be open about her own struggles including mental illness. This transparence has made her a relatable consultant and public speaker. She believes in the power of stories and shares her experiences, insights, and mistakes to encourage and equip individuals to overcome obstacles and thrive in their personal and professional lives.
