11:05am-11:40am EDT The Art of Giving & Receiving Feedback for Optimal Effectiveness

General Session

Developing and committing to a workplace culture where both giving and receiving feedback on a regular basis is an expectation and a normal part of work relationships takes perseverance. A culture of coaching is an extension of a growth mindset. An important thing to keep in mind is that the only way to truly establish a feedback culture is to understand that feedback should be a two-way street. Meaning both new leaders and leaders leading new leaders should be regularly asking for, giving, and responding to feedback. A feedback culture ultimately leads to a learning culture where new and seasoned leaders are growing and developing together. Ultimately, the goal is to gain confidence in how one approaches giving and receiving feedback.

In this session, you will

  • Discover how to prepare to receive feedback and use it to better your own performance
  • Explore how to optimize feedback experiences by becoming Feedback Fit
  • Learn a model for giving feedback designed to foster and enhance growth
