Andrew Flood leads the Advanced Analytics and Data Science team within corporate Talent Analytics and Reporting at UnitedHealth Group. In this role Andrew leads a group of data scientists and analysts working on talent analytics projects requiring advanced methodologies or involving complex data. Recent projects have included studies of employee feedback on performance measures, market recommendations systems for talent acquisition, and turnover modeling. Andrew joined UnitedHealth Group in October of 2015 as Human Capital Analytics Partner.
 
Before arriving at UHG, Andrew was head of Design and Analytics in the Research Department at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. Prior to that, Andrew was an associate professor in the Division of Epidemiology and Community Health at the University of Minnesota. Andrew has authored more than 70 papers in peer-reviewed medical journals, with a primary research focus on dietary and lifestyle-related risk factors for colorectal cancer.
 
Andrew holds an undergraduate degree in biology from Princeton University, a master’s degree in history from the University of New Hampshire, and a Ph.D. from the Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University.
